The weather in WNY is beginning to turn and if you’re like us, the question we’re asking ourselves is what the heck are we gunna do for fun?

Pre-covid, it was easy to find things to do indoors, despite the never-ending blizzards that Buffalo winters bring. So what now? Thanks to extensive research and an adaptable city, we were able to compile a list of date ideas to do indoors now and when the snow starts falling!

Niagara Climbing Center is a full service indoor climbing gym in the Buffalo/Niagara region. They have 5,000 square feet of climbing terrain, 30 Top Rope stations, each 20 feet high and a variety of walls and routes to suit beginner, intermediate, and advanced climbers.

5. Enjoy Small Town Feels in East Aurora

One of our favorite daytime destinations to explore is the Village of East Aurora. On top of the adorable Main Street vibe there are plenty of small indie shops to keep you busy for hours, plus casual spots to eat and get coffee like Elm Street Bakery and Taste Bistro before posting up for a local brew outside in 42 North Brewery’s cold-weather beer garden.

All of their events are fully staffed with extensively-trained instructors, guiding groups through structured tournaments lasting approximately 2 hours. (21+ only)
