10 Killer Shows to See in Buffalo This March

That little summer weather blast Buffalo was teased with late last month was a pleasant reminder that summer is not all that far along. And with summer, brings a plethora of live music options scattered all over Western New York. But before we get to ahead of ourselves, we will have a little ways to go. In the meantime, there are plenty of great shows coming up to amp up your March – which we all know can be a BIT of a drag around these parts. Here are the 10 shows that should be on your radar for the month of March.

 

1. NPR Tiny Desk Contest Concert

For the third year running, Mohawk will host a showcase of local musicians who submitted their own Tiny Desk Concert for the chance to perform at the NPR studios in Washington, DC.

 

 

2. Del Paxton

DATE: March 3rd

Set to share its debut LP “All Day, Evert Day, All Night” via Topshelf Records, popular Buffalo emo trio Del Paxton will celebrate the release of the much-awaited new record at the downtown hot-spot.

 

3. Waves of Fear: Lou Reed Tribute

Local acts including the Irving Klaws, the Good, Statiowagon, and more will pay tribute to the late Velvet Underground front man at the Allentown music hub.

 

4. Humble Braggers

The on-the-rise synth trio will play selections from its new record “I Know Better, I’m No Better” while being supported by a very special guest performance from touring act Chad Valley.

 

 

5. Local Natives

6. Ultimate Lift Off: Toney’s Home

7. Sixties Future

Buffalo’s buzzing heartland rockers will make a welcome return to the stage while opening for the latest local appearance by Canadian rock act the Trews.

 

8. House of Pain

The aggressive Irish-American hip-hop crew will take over the Waiting Room’s back parking lot during Buffalo’s incredibly popular St. Patrick’s Day Parade. 90’s alt-rock cover kings Soul Patch will open.

 

 

9. Fishbone

The socially conscious, funk-punk hybrid will be in town with its original lineup to perform 1996’s Chim Cim’s Badass Revenge in full.
