If your love for ice cream is real, you’re not alone. Ice cream makes us smile. It’s a fact.
Our friends at 2 Scoops Ice Cream have been scooping our favorite frozen treat for 10 years now. Thanks, guys! You name it, they serve it — dishes, cones, sandwiches, cakes, sundaes, milkshakes, floats, arctic swirls, cotton candy (yes, cotton candy, made fresh in their shop daily!) and homemade novelties. Basically, 2 Scoops is our hero.
Owners Susan and John Szczypierowski are celebrating the 10 years of sweetness this year! Before opening 2 Scoops, John owned an ice cream shop called Scoops in Delevan, NY for 15 years before selling it last summer. Hence the current shop’s name: 2 Scoops.
Warning: 2 Scoops Ice Cream might become your new obsession. In honor of 10 years on the scene, here are 10 reasons why:

Banana Custard in a Homemade Waffle Cone // Step Out Buffalo

Reason #1: New week, new flavor! Meaning they have a custard flavor of the week, which is always something we can get on board with. Last week it was pumpkin, this week banana. Yum!
Reason #2: Fall flavors are everything, and guess who serves pumpkin custard, pumpkin custard ice cream sandwiches, and pumpkin custard ice cream cakes to get us in the mood? This shop! Right here!
Reason #3: All their waffle cones and bowls are homemade fresh every day. The second you pull up to 2 Scoops you’ll be able to tell, trust us. Just follow the smell! #goodtoknow

Reason #4: Their novelty game is strong. We’re talking homemade nutty buddies, ice cream tacos(!!), ice cream sandwiches and sundae-on-a-sticks. Yes, all homemade with their own custards. We’ll have one of each, please!
Reason #5:  What’s better than cake on your birthday? Ice cream cake on your birthday. Order yours, and thank us later. Pro-tip, these stay good in the freezer for quite a while. You might even want to consider ordering a pumpkin custard ice cream cake now and breaking it out on Thanksgiving. Just saying…
Reason #6: Gluten-free friends have options — cones, custard flavors, hard ice cream flavors, and cakes.

Salted Caramel Sundae at 2 Scoops // Step Out Buffalo

Reason #7: In addition to making their own custards and getting mad creative with them, 2 Scoops serves Perry’s hard Ice Cream. Which, if you know anything, you know it’s some of the best in the biz – locally made and super high quality. PSA: They even have Perry’s (kind of hard-hard-to-find) Fireball here! Run, don’t walk.
Reason #8: Ice cream dates are the best dates, especially when you spend it at the cutie picnic tables at 2 Scoops.
Reason #9: Ice cream cones are insta-gold – especially when they aren’t your average concoction. We recommend getting the Cotton Candy Chaos Sundae with cotton Candy ice cream on a bed of Cotton Candy topped with Cotton Candy Dip and crunch or a Nutella Dipped cone for that IG wow-factor. Snap ‘em and share ‘em. Don’t forget to use #hashtagstepoutbuffalo!
Reason #10: Ice cream is a cheap meal. If you haven’t had ice cream for lunch or dinner, a. you’re lying or b. you’re doing it wrong.
