This month brings the return of favorite music nights like Thursday at Canalside and Live at Larkin, not to mention the kick off of busy summer schedules at Artpark and Darien Lake. But don’t forget that the rest of the calendar is filled with great shows that may have gotten lost in your ever busy Facebook feed. Just in case you need a reminder, here are 12 shows (plus some honorable mentions) that should be on your radar for the month of June as a music fan in the Queen City.
 

Catfish and the Bottlemen

Lesionread & Space Cubs

Taking Back Friday: A Night of Emo Music Vol 3

The seasonal throwback night returns to Milkie’s for another evening of emo jams from the genre’s heyday. The June installment will feature DJ sets from Jessica Railey, Tom and Donnie Burtless, and Bryan Johnson.

Sugar City’s Soul Night

The popular Sugar City dance night is back with an evening full of choice cuts of Motown, funk, doo-wop, soul, and more. Handsome Dan, DJ Press, Frankie Rainbows, and Magic Nikkita will be behind the decks all night long.
