Music festival season is upon us, and lucky for us there’s a major festival happening right here in Buffalo – Borderland Music, Arts + Craft Festival is happening on September 21 & 22 at Knox Farm Park. Here are a few reasons why tickets to this two-day music and cultural festival celebrating the rich history and renaissance of our region are worth your money.

#1: Tickets are affordable.

First and foremost, let’s talk numbers. Major music festivals can seriously drain your wallet. This one won’t. Plain and simple. Tickets start at $110 for 2-day general admission. Yes friends, with 24 bands performing, it’s less than $5 a band.  That’s a steal. And, for $249 you can score the VIP experience for two days. Either way, it’s a bargain compared to other national festivals. But do hurry, ticket pricing increase as the festival date approaches.

#2: The lineup is legit and growing.

The line-up for Borderland rivals line-ups of any festival in the country.  And the national music media have caught on. While most Buffalonians knows Gov’t Mule, Shakey Graves, and the Wood Brothers, fans are going to be blown away by new and up-and-coming acts like Rayland Baxter and Ghost Light.  Oh, and by the way, did we mention Rock and Blues Hall of Famer, Mavis Staples will perform at Borderland. Yes, a true legend in our midst.

The Lineup:

  • Gov’t Mule
  • Greensky Bluegrass
  • Shakey Graves
  • Mavis Staples
  • The Wood Brothers
  • Keller Williams Grateful Grass
  • The Infamous Stringdusters
  • Rayland Baxter
  • Sheepdogs
  • Ghost Light
  • Liz Cooper & The Stampede
  • Floodwood
  • Grant Farm
  • Miller and the Other Sinners
  • Mikeala Davis
  • Hayden Fogle Band
  • Dead Alliance Buffalo
  • Leroy Townes Band

#3: The venue is gorgeous.

We are low-key not-so-low-key obsessed with the village of East Aurora. Especially when it comes to Knox Farm State Park. These scenic and storied grounds were meant for hosting a festival like this one. Plenty of room to hang out.  Parking is ample. And the best news, it’s just 20 minutes from the city.
