It’s the most wonderful time of the year… The holidays are coming up quick, aka it’s time to start filling your social calendar. Personally, we love all the “support local” events that happen throughout the city and suburbs this time of year!
The Elmwood Strip is super ready for the holiday season. If you’re looking for fun and festive events, mark these dates down:

1. Elmwood Strip Celebration of Hope
Thursday, November 14 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Hotel Henry (444 Forest Avenue)
The gift of hope is truly priceless. This event is all about giving hope to those who need it most. Just by attending, you can help raise much-needed awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research. This celebration is a meaningful way to kick off the holiday season.
Join the merchants of Elmwood to enjoy a night filled with hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and cocktails. There will also be live music, spinning wheels and a lot of silent auctions full of gifts and gift certificates from the businesses in and around the Elmwood Village. All for $50 – representatives from Roswell Park will be present for the game ticket sales. And more importantly, your gratitude benefits a great cause.

2. Black Friday Boutique Crawl & Small Business Saturday
Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30
‘Tis the season to gift local. Local businesses support local businesses here in Buffalo, especially during the holidays. The Elmwood Village community is hosting a very special #shoplocal celebration. Come join in on the fun by strolling the Strip for store specials and free gift wrapping. Skip the big box stores, and support your local ones.

Christmas is coming to the Village. Join your neighbors for a special holiday celebration at Lafayette Presbyterian Church at the corner of Elmwood and Lafayette. There will be carolers, hot cocoa, pictures with Santa, and a tree lighting ceremony. P.S.
