1. Holiday Market & Preparing for Winter

Saturday, November 20 & Sunday, November 21 from 10am to 3pm

Finding a unique gift for that special someone can be a challenge with the latest shifts to online shopping. But you’ll find handcrafted goods from 30+ local art, food, and gift vendors—all under one roof at Genesee Country Village & Museum—just in time for the holiday season. Plus, watch the villagers busy themselves with candle making, spinning wool, meat preservation and other traditional tasks. The Museum’s Flint Hill Store will be open for local and Museum-made artisan goods, books, toys, and more. Tickets are available at the door. 

Tickets: $7for Museum Members, $10 for General Admission, FREE for Children under 3

2. Yuletide in the Country Tours

December 3 & 4, 10 & 11, 17 & 18, timed tickets

There’s something magical about the Historic Village in the winter, donned in holiday decorations and bustling with merriment. Yuletide in the Country is one of the Museum’s most anticipated events. Your ticket unlocks the past to experience an enchanted candlelight tour through snow-covered streets. Villagers share historic holiday traditions and celebrations as they would have looked throughout the 19th century. And there’s an option to add a festive dinner featuring savory and sweet holiday dishes before or after your tour. Advanced reservations required and this event often sells out.

Tickets: $24 for Museum Members, $27 for General Admission

3. Breakfast with St. Nick

Sundays: December 5, 12 & 19; seating times 10am, 11am and 12pm

Sparkling lights and elegant greenery—chocolate chip pancakes with syrup and whipped cream…and of course the jolly old elf himself! Get in the holiday spirit when you meet St. Nick, explore the wintry Historic Village, and take a family photo on the festive grounds that you’ll cherish for seasons to come! Each child in attendance will receive a small gift to take home and have the opportunity to write a letter and post it in the Museum’s special North Pole mailbox. Seating is limited and advanced reservations are a must. 

Tickets: $12 for Adults, $10 for Youth 12 & under, FREE for Children under 3

4. Holiday Open House

Sundays: December 5, 12 & 19 from 11am to 3pm 

Want to get the kids out to experience the magic of the season? This family favorite is sure to get you in the holiday spirit! Festive music, warm fires blazing and kitchens all a bustle with the aroma of fresh baked treats and holiday feasts! Magic is in the air with historic homes decked out in holiday finery and historic interpreters will be sharing stories of past traditions. Don’t miss this chance to experience the festive Historic Village.

Tickets: $9 for Museum Members, $12 for General Admission, FREE for Children under 3
