There’s truly nothing better than a warm home cooked meal on a cold winter day. That’s exactly what you’ll find when you visit South Transit BBQ & Grill.

This local BBQ spot’s story started with a small electric smoker in 2015. Over the years their passion and experience grew just as fast as their collection of smokers! Fast forward to 2021 and they decided to officially open up shop in Lockport.

South Transit BBQ & Grill is known around town for having the freshest meat as well as a unique menu full of homemade recipes.

Here’s 4 reasons to check them out:

1. For a BBQ breakfast

The breakfast menu here is a blend of Texas-influenced barbecue and family diner favorites. They have all the diner classics, including create-your-own omelettes, pancakes, waffles, and French toast as well as BBQ breakfast options, including a pulled pork hash, waffles and brisket, as well as biscuits, brisket, and gravy.

2. For a classic BBQ dinner

Many of the dishes here feature their own unique homemade sides and sauces. You’ll find classic barbecue favorites on their dinner menu, including a Texas-style brisket, pulled pork, and smashburgers. Plus, they serve chili and Brunswick stew daily (or until they sell out).

3. For unique BBQ items

Beyond classic BBQ, you’ll find unique menu items here that you simply can’t find anywhere else like the Tookey (which reminds us of Rochester’s famous garbage plates). This dish comes with smoked mac and cheese, pulled pork BBQ beans, and your choice of fries or tots with melted cheese on top.

4. For affordable catering

This local BBQ place caters lunch and dinner for any and all occasions around the Buffalo area and beyond. Simply put in a request online to learn more about their affordable catering options.
