Summer is officially here in Buffalo! Western New Yorkers patiently wait all year long for the absolutely beautiful, sunny summer days that the season offers. That means now is the perfect time to soak it all up by finding the best things to do in and around the city.

If you’re looking to spice up your summer with a memorable local road trip, a weekend getaway, or just a fun-filled night out, then look no further than the Roycroft Campus!

Located in the heart of East Aurora, the historic Roycroft Inn and Campus is one of the top destinations in the area to spend a beautiful day in Western New York. From shopping events and live music to learning more about the local history behind this National Historic Landmark, there’s fun for the entire family in store whenever and however you decide to visit this summer.

In case you need some summer planning inspiration, here are 4 excellent ways to experience The Roycroft Campus this summer, whether you need to fill a few hours, an entire day, or a full weekend:

1. Take a Tour of The Campus and Museum

Explore the Roycroft Campus on a guided tour; learn fun facts and stories about the past, present and future of this National Historic Landmark and authentic Arts and Crafts community!

Museum Tours | $15 per person | Approx. 1 Hour

The Museum Tour begins on the Campus grounds with an introduction to the Roycroft history then transitions to an exploration of the artifact collection on exhibit in the Campus Museum.

Here, you’ll see a combination of rotating and permanent exhibits that feature rare artifacts, and learn more about the people, products, and philosophy that made Elbert Hubbard and The Roycroft an important part of the Arts & Crafts Movement.

Campus Tours | $20 per person | Approx. 1.5 Hours

The Campus Tour is a more comprehensive version of the Museum Tour, where you’ll learn fun facts and stories about the past, present, and future of this National Historic Landmark. Campus Tours are primarily outdoors and take guests around the grounds and various buildings to explore the rich architecture and history of The Roycroft.

In-Depth Tours | $50 per person | Approx 2.5 Hours

Looking for a deep dive into some local history and culture? The Roycroft’s In-Depth Tour will take guests to all of the spaces included on the Campus Tour, plus several additional interior areas that aren’t typically open to the general public. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to examine original Roycroft furniture, stained glass, metalwork, and more.

Advanced registration is highly recommended for tours – secure your spot today when you book online
