Looking for a place to grab a good Japanese dish in WNY? According to an article from New York Upstate, there are 5 places in our region that are a *must* try.
The article gives a brief run down of the 19 best Japanese restaurants in Upstate New York using Yelp’s rankings based on reviews and star ratings. The article also features positive reviews from Yelp users, the price range of each restaurant,  as well as photos from the review section.


Writer Ben Axelson for New York Upstate’s website says:

“Whatever your favorite style of Japanese cuisine is, you need to see this list of the best Japanese restaurants in Upstate NY. From bustling sushi bars to huge Japanese steakhouses, you’ll find all your favorite dishes at the restaurants on this list.”

13. Ichiban Japanese Restaurants – 3701 Mckinley Pkwy, Blasdell, NY 14219

12. Kumo Japanese Cuisine – 4900 Transit Rd, Cheektowaga, NY 14043

9. Teton Kitchen Thai & Japanese Cuisine –  415 Dick Rd, Cheektowaga, NY 14043

So, we’re not technically Upstate New York, but what can we say? WNY definitely knows a thing or two when it comes to making the best Japanese food.
