Genesee Country Village & Museum is open this summer, Thursday through Sunday, and is all about relaxation and exploration in wide open, outdoor spaces. This largest living history museum in all of New York State has the biggest collection of historic buildings in the Northeast with interpreters demonstrating historical trades, crafts, and cooking every day. But wait – there’s more! There’s also a Nature Center with over five miles of hiking trails and the John L. Wehle Gallery featuring new art, artifact, and fashion exhibits for 2020.

If that’s not enough to encourage you to visit, these not-to-be-missed special events are happening on site this summer with plenty of hand sanitizer, mask-wearing, and distancing to help everyone have fun and keep safe. Here are 6 don’t miss events to put on your radar:

Attend a “Mad Tea Party,” play Queen’s croquet, take dancing or writing lessons with the March sisters, and visit the Pioneer Farm and listen to fiddle tunes just like Pa Ingalls used to play.
