2. Friday Night Bash with Other Half Brewing at Seneca One

If you’re looking for something to do after Friday night’s Buffalo Bisons game, head over to the Other Half beer garden at Seneca One after the fireworks. Seneca One has teamed up with Other Half Brewing and the Bisons for a fitting after-party. Other Half beers, both in cans and on draft, will be served alongside local wines and seltzers until 11pm.

3. Community Beer Works Ready to Release Oktoberfest

Yes, it’s only August, but it’s never too early to start thinking about fall beers. CBW is set to release their Oktoberfest on August 27 (3pm). This traditional German-style fest beer is a malt-forward, smooth drinking lager. The use of German malts, continental hops and CBW’s house lager strain results in a full malt flavor, a touch of hop bitterness, and a crisp, clean finish. Oktoberfest will be available on tap and in 16oz. 4-packs to go.

4. Windy Brew’s Hop Fest Returns This Weekend

Windy Brew’s annual celebration of all things hops, their 4th annual Hop Fest, returns on August 29 (1pm) at the brewery. Your $30 ticket includes admission, two drink tickets, food and live music by The Party Hounds. Tickets are available at the brewery. The event will also feature a corn hole tournament with prizes to the first place team (sign up available upon arrival).

5. Thin Man Also Dropping a New Oktoberfest Beer

Thin Man is also looking to the fall with the release of Auf Wiedersehen Imperial Märzen on August 27. This 9.2% brew features a clear copper body with a light tan head and notes of bready malt, caramel and brown sugar on the nose, as well as a soft body with caramel, toasted bread, rye and spice on the tongue. Auf Wiedersehen will be available at all Thin Man locations on Friday.

6. New Hazy IPA Coming Soon to Belt Line Taps

On August 25, the latest New England IPA, Viking Destroyer, will hit taps at Belt Line Brewery. This 7.3% NEIPA was brewed using Norwegian Kveik yeast and dry-hopped with Strata, Citra and Mandarina Bavaria hops for tropical fruit aromas and flavors of pineapple, orange and lemon.

7. Pumking Family Reunion at Southern Tier Brewing

While it’s not technically fall yet, Southern Tier Brewing is reuniting the Pumking Family for their annual celebration on August 28 (11am) at The Empty Pint. In addition to the classic Pumking, the event will feature Warlock, Cold Press Pumking and Pumking Whiskey. The free event will feature special Pumking flights and samplings.
