1. 97 Rock Home Show Happy Hour Returns to Buffalo Home Show

The Buffalo Home Show and The 97 Rock Home Show Happy Hour return to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center (March 3-5, 10-12). The event, hosted by Tom Ragan from Shredd & Ragan In The Morning, features craft beer, cider, wine, games, trivia and more, each Friday night (5-7pm). Community Beer Works will be pouring Let’s Go Pils and The Whale and Southern Tier Brewing will be pouring Irish Cream Stout and IPA. There will also be tastings from Clarksburg Cider and Merritt Winery, along with Cabot Cheese samples and more. You can save $2 by buying tickets in advance online.

2. Big Ditch Closed This Week for Annual Break

Big Ditch Brewing’s taproom will remain closed this week through Friday for their annual break and all-employee get together. The taproom will reopen on March 3. They are also planning some minor upgrades to their taproom experience.

3. Hofbrauhaus to Release Hold Marzen Keg Tapping

Hofbrauhaus will release their latest seasonal offering, Marzen, on March 2 (6pm), with a special keg tapping. The United States Coast Guard will lead the parade and all guests 21+ will receive a complimentary 0.3L after the parade. This springtime Märzen pours burnt orange with aromas of toasted bread, floral spiciness and finishes very clean and crisp. 4. Pressure Drop, Thin Man to Release New Collab, Dog Pajama Party

Pressure Drop Brewing and Thin Man Brewery will release their latest collaborative brew, Dog Pajama Party, on March 4 (11am). Dog Pajama Party is a fruity and medium-bodied sour ale with notes of tropical pineapple and citrusy tangerine with a crisp, dry finish. Dog Pajama Party will be available on draft and 16oz. 4-pack cans to go. Pressure Drop’s Citra Screamer Citra-hopped Cream Ale, will also make its return on draft and in cans the same day.

5. Eli Fish Brewery 5th Anniversary Weekend

All this weekend, March 3-5, Batavia’s Eli Fish Brewery will celebrate their 5th anniversary, a weekend full of new beer releases, food, cocktails, live music and more. There will be nine beer releases, including Will It?, LeRoy Brown, Ol’ Stumpy Boi, BA Nectar of the Nitwit, Brewer’s Wife, Church Shoes, Madame Edna, LeRoy Blondie, and Jadin’s Fruit Salsa, along with new food and cocktail menu items and live music Saturday night from Josh Hawkins (7-10pm).

6. Mr. Goodbar to Hold 18th Annual Stout Tasting

On March 18 (7:30pm), Mr. Goodbar will hold their 18th Annual Stout Tasting, which will feature 10 different stouts, food and more. The event will feature tastings of Troegs Grand Cacao, Equilibrium All Wise, Allagash North Sky, Torch & Crown Thermal Layers, Lough Gill Arethusa, Dieu du Ciel Pech Mortel Mexican, Esker Hart Sunrise, Foley Brothers Irish Stout, To Ol Vanilje Maelk Imperial Milk Stout and Fat Orange Cat Roll Me One Cowboy Coffee Coconut, as well as Cupcakes by Fairycakes (Guinness Chocolate Cupcakes with Baileys Buttercream and Brown Sugar Cupcakes with Jameson Buttercream) and Irish potato soup. The event is $25 and includes admission to the event, all beer tastings and food. Tickets can be purchased at the bar.

7. Thin Man to Celebrate International Women’s Day

Thin Man Elmwood is celebrating International Women’s Day on March 4 with a special beer release and full day of events featuring women-owned businesses, artisans and musicians. In honor of the occasion, they will release Yas Queen, a fruited sour with pineapple, lime and coconut, in cans and on draft, and will hold an all-female artisan market featuring over 20 craft vendors (11a-3p), a Katiebkind DJ set and networking happy hour (4-7p) and DJ Travistwin upstairs (8-11p).
