Thin Man and the Buffalo chapter of the American Outlaws have partnered on Golden Boot Lager, which will be released on November 11. This 5.1% spunded lager is crisp, clean and refreshing; brewed with choice Canadian barley and German hops, fermented cold, naturally carbonated and conditioned for an extended time for notes of lightly toasted bread and delicate herbal hops. 2. Woodcock Brothers Brewing Turns 10 This Weekend

Woodcock Brothers are turning 10 on November 12 (12pm) and are celebrating at their Wilson headquarters. They will continue offering free chowder on the patio to those who attend starting at noon. “We love all our fans and customers that made these past 10 years worth all we’ve put in to it,” the brewery says. “Thank you all for your patronage and support. Cheers to many more years to come!” There will be live music from The Black and Blues Band (12pm – 3pm), Jake Payne Jazz Quartet (3:30pm – 6:30pm) and Vinyl 6 (7pm -10pm). More information here.

3. First Line Teams With Brickyard on Veterans Day Lager

First Line Brewing and Brickyard Brewing are giving back to those who made the ultimate sacrifice with the release of 11th Hour Veterans Day Lager, a crisp and easy drinking lager brewed with Yakima Chiefs Veterans hop blend. Proceeds from hops purchased will go directly to the Gary Sinese Foundation, and both breweries will donate 11% of the proceeds to Veterans One Stop Center. 11th Hour is on draft now and cans will be available Nov. 12 at First Line during their Veterans Day party. All veterans will receive their first beer for free as well as free BBQ covered by Bills long snapper Reid Ferguson.

4. Raise a Toast to the Retiring Mayor of Buffalo Beer Tim Herzog

‘All good things must come to an end,’ ‘nothing gold can stay,’ no matter what saying you choose, they all apply to the impending retirement of Buffalo’s mustachioed craft beer figurehead, Flying Bison’s Tim Herzog. As he prepares to pour one last pint, you can join him and raise a toast to everything he has done for Western New York craft beer on November 12 at Flying Bison. “Please join us in raising a pint to honor Tim and all he has done not only for the beer community but our community at large,” Flying Bison said. There will be cask and vintage ales, BBQ and live music from The Isotopes at 6pm.
