As far as we’re concerned, every Buffalonian should have a winter bucket list that revolves around eating and drinking. A hot, hearty meal on a cold, snowy day is the best, and that’s why The Burning Buffalo is very worthy of a top spot on your list.
Reason #1: The Booze
There are 15+ beers on tap, reds and whites, and specialty cocktails starting at $8 a pour. According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution. Just saying…
Reason #2: The Burgers
If burger joints are your fave, add these guys to your list. You’ll find wild game here (literally). Yes, the rotating burger selection includes bison, alligator, elk, ostrich, and wild boar.
Reason #3: The Buffalovers
The restaurant is run by born-and-raised Buffalonians who couldn’t be more excited to support their local neighbors in the Hertel business district. They love to support Buffalo-based businesses by carrying local products and planning events to showcase small business owners.
Reason #4: The Mission
Supporting local organizations is a priority for these folks. They partner with local not-for-profits, including Save the Michaels of the World, as a way to give back to their neighbors.
Reason #5: The Hours
Late night cravings are veryyyyyy real. The good news is this kitchen is open until midnight Monday through Thursday, until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Reason #6: The Creative Touch
Chef Dustin Swaciak put his own stamp on this menu. The tried-and-true customer favorites are there, but the new specials add variety every now and then. This is the neighborhood place where you can get that amazing burger you love, or try something a little more adventurous.
Reason #7: The Name
There’s a story behind the name. The owners chose the name since it’s deeply rooted in the history of Buffalo, and looking toward the city’s future.
All in all we’re fans of The Burning Buffalo, and we think you will be too!
