Ariana Grande is performing on March 22

It’s March and with it comes the arrival of spring! Or is it pre-spring? Or second winter?

Well, whatever season it might be — it’s brought in a slew of good musical acts, ranging from bucket list Dad Rock to red hot modern indie. So kick off your smelly, salt-crusted boots and put on those dancin’ shoes. It’s time to shake off those winter blues boys and girls.

(Some of these shows may be sold out, but obviously you can still find tickets on StubHub, on Craigslist, on Facebook, at Mardi Gras parties, at the Old Ward St. Patrick’s Day parade or at the Downtown St. Patrick’s Day parade. C’mon guys, don’t @ us.)

1. Mumford and Sons (SOLD OUT)

DATE:  March 8th

LOCATION: KeyBank Center

COST: $44.50 – $104.50

FACEBOOK EVENT

Over the past 12 years, Mumford and Sons went from indie rock heartthrobs to arena rock titans. They may be recording a lot less foot-stompin’ and banjo pickin’ these days, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t going to bust out The Cave or Little Lion Man in concert.

2. Mother Mother

DATE:  March 16th

LOCATION: Town Ballroom

COST: $20/24 (advance/ day-of)

FACEBOOK EVENT

Like Mumford and Sons, Mother Mother is another band from humble beginnings that has become a radio staple over the past few years. The Canadian band has a ton of songs you know and love. Sure to be a good time.

3. Ariana Grande

DATE:  March 22nd

LOCATION: KeyBank Center

COST: $29.95 – $199.95

8. The Trews

DATE:  March 29th

LOCATION: Town Ballroom

COST: $22/ 25 (adv/ day-of)

Now that Tragically Hip are tragically no more, fans of Canadian rock are looking for an act to fill the massive void left behind. The Trews may not quite be at the same level as The Hip, but they’re getting there — if their decade-plus of hit songs is any indication.
