
Father’s Day is just around the corner and if you haven’t quite figured out how to celebrate dad, we’re here to help! Outside of treating him to a meal, (which you should still do) there are plenty of ways you can show him a good time. From the more obvious option like golf, to something more adventurous like axe throwing, WNY is full of fun things to do. Read on for our recommendations on how to celebrate Dad this Father’s Day:

1. Catch a Ball Game
If your dad is a fan of baseball, with just a short drive over the border, you and your dad can catch the Blue Jay as they play the Yankees on Father’s Day. Who you decide to root for is up to you, but a hotdog in one hand and a cold drink in the other equals one happy dad. Check out tickets here.

2. Plan a Fishing Trip
Embrace the waterways of our region by spending the day fishing with your dad. Don’t have your own supplies? Book a trip with Brookdog Fishing where you can venture out on a guided charter. 3. Try Your Hand in Axe Throwing
Throw some axes while throwing back some beers at Hatchets & Hops. This is a fun group activity to do with your dad and unleash your competitive side. This does require to be booked so be sure to see if there is a slot available ahead of time.

4. Spend the Day on the Green
This is a more obvious option but we had to include it because it just wouldn’t feel right if we didn’t. There are so many golf course around our region to enjoy and Ellicottville also has a Father’s Day Package option!

5. Plan a Family Day on the Farm
Becker Farm’s is hosting a Father’s Day event which includes a specialty Father’s Day Beer tasting with a make and take 4 pack. The event also includes access to the petting zoo and playground, strawberry sangrias and wine slushies, and more! Check out all the info here.

6. Bike Your Way Through WNY
Enjoy the outdoors exploring the various bike paths of WNY and grab a bite somewhere along the way to make a day of it. For something more group inclusive and party-like, book a ride with Buffalo Pedal Tours.

7. Get Out on the Water

8. Catch the Latest Box Office Hit
If your dad is into a laid back Father’s Day, head to a local movie theater to catch a movie, or better yet, fill the car with snacks and blankets and watch a showing under the stars at the Transit Drive-In.
