Attend Presentations

The daily calendar is packed with presentations. You can observe a colony of Humboldt penguins during feeding time, hear the success stories of rescued marine mammals, and meet harbor seals and grey seals and learn about rescue, rehabilitation, and release efforts. 

Looking for a hands-on experience? Check out the Meet the Expert presentation! You’ll get the chance to feel a seal or sea lion pelt, look at a jellyfish under a microscope, and see shark teeth up close.

All of these presentations are included with general admission. Here’s the daily rundown. And yes, we said daily. The Aquarium is open Sunday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • 11:30 AM: Rescue Harbor Seal Presentation
  • 12:30 PM: Meet the Expert at the Discovery Cart

Book an Animal Encounter

Underwater animal lovers will appreciate these extra special encounters. You can book a beak-to-nose encounter where you’ll have the chance to watch Humboldt penguins waddle around. Or you can join the trainers on the beach for a meet-and-greet with a seal. These 30-minute animal encounters are fun for animal enthusiasts of almost any age!*

*Animal encounter participants must be at least 8-years-old.

Play Trainer for a Day

Ever wondered what it’s like to work at an aquarium? Here’s your chance to spend a day with one of the trainers. During this behind-the-scenes experience, you’ll get to help prepare fish, meet a rescued seal and sea lion, and visit with a Humboldt penguin! At the end of the day, you’ll get a t-shirt and photos to bring home with you. Participants must be at least 12 years old. Reservations are available online

Adopt an Animal 

Interested in becoming an aquaparent? You’re in luck! You can adopt one of the rescued, non-releasable residents at the Aquarium of Niagara. When you adopt an animal here, you’ll get a special certificate of adoption, a species ID card, and a photo of the chosen animal. Learn more about the animals currently up for adoption!

Pay $7.16 for Admission 

Aquarium of Niagara is offering a deeply discounted rate through a special program called 716 Days. The goal? To make visiting more accessible to more members of the community. If you visit the Aquarium between January 18 and 20, February 15 and 17, or March 14 and 15, you pay just $7.16 for admission. Children under 2 are free.
