Ever seen a life-sized gingerbread house IRL? Here’s your chance.
The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute goes all out for the season with decorations by creating a massive gingerbread house. This year’s house is expected to take over 3,000 man hours to create, and will be comprised of over 1,200 pounds of gingerbread 2,400 pounds of icing, and over five hundred pounds of edible decorations and roof tiles. Make a family fun day of it. Every weekend starting on November 30 through December 22, there will be all sorts of seasonal activities, including cookie decorating, holiday crafts, letters to Santa, story reading, and so much more. Plus, there will be live entertainment. BTW these activities are all low cost or free. Talk about fun for the whole fam!
There’s a reason it’s called a Gingerbread Wonderland. Everywhere you look – the space will be decorated for the holiday season!

Interested in creating your own masterpiece? The Culinary Institute is hosting a Gingerbread Competition from December 5 through December 10. To make the competition as fair as possible, there will be five different divisions to compete in, including professional, amateur, high school, college, and children’s. P.S. If you’re looking for a way to spread holiday cheer this season? The Culinary Institute is looking for volunteers. Specifically, they need people to volunteer on the weekends and help with selling tickets, decorating cookies, writing letters to Santa, creating crafts, and more!

When you come to visit, keep in mind parking is available on the 3rd floor of the ramp adjacent to the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. Just follow the signs! And remember to bring your parking ticket to the first floor at the reception desk to be validated.
