Home-cooked lasagna, meatballs, full-service bar, 4 flat screen TV’s, and Bills brunch with bottomless Mimosas. Giacobbi’s Cucina Citta on Allen Street in Buffalo. Basically, we could end this article right here because honestly what more could you want from your neighborhood Italian bistro?

Apparently, so much more. Giacobbi’s Cucina Citta is a relatively new Italian restaurant that opened in June of 2016 just a few blocks away from the Buffalo Medical Campus. The cozy restaurant is open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch, sharing their cherished family recipes in order to serve Buffalonians some warm, home-cooked, Italian meals with a few funky twists.

They have your Italian staples, like homemade Lasagna, Gnocchi (made fresh every day), Chicken Marsala, artisan pizzas, and antipasto; your crowd favorites, like the Short Rib Meatball Espagnole, Prosciutto Pizza, and Penne Palermo; as well as Italian meals with a little somethin’ somethin’. Ever heard of Italian Nachos? Neither have we, but now we’ve got to try them — a fried cut pasta sheet covered with Hungarian peppers, olives, Italian sausage, spicy marinara, and mozzarella. And if you’re looking for a new go-to spot for fish on a Friday, Giacobbi’s has Baked Haddock Italiano with grilled vegetables every week.

This place has mastered the perfect, home-cooked, traditional meal. But they’ve also gone above and beyond to cater to the Buffalo community. What better way to please Western New Yorkers than offering big flat screens to watch our favorite sports teams while serving up bottomless mimosas? So what, we’re a BIT predictable. We’re not sorry.

This brunch has everything from the classic Eggs Benedict, to gooey, melt-in-your-mouth Nutella French Toast, an exquisite Smoked Salmon Bruschetta, and the crowd favorite, Penne Palermo (plus Mimosas and Bloody Marys, obv). But if you’re more of the ‘stay-at-home-and-throw-a-party’ kind of crew, Giacobbi’s has a drop-off catering service to offer too, delivering Chicken Parmesan, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Italian Meatballs in sauce, and sooo so much more.
