DAY #5: Angie’s Pizza House
North Buffalo
Pizza Journal: Angie’s resides in Black Rock on Niagara Street. This was your average pizza. The crust/dough was not all that impressive and the ingredients had a way of escaping the slice, but the overall experience of the pizza wasn’t too bad. This offers a different style pepperoni that isn’t too common around here – so if that’s your thing, you might be the person that loves this. The sauce is notably sweet, perhaps the sweetest I’ve tasted.
Tester Observations:
CRUST: very doughy, bland
SAUCE: sweet, runny, no chunks
CHEESE: stringy, runny, runs off the pizza
PEPPERONI: greasy, charred edges, larger size than we usually see in WNY
See where this pizza’s crust, sauce, cheese and pep fall on our observation meters. More importantly – what rating does it get on our LIKE-O-METER:
