April Food/Drink/Dining News
Our mission: Construct a monthly list of new openings- restaurants, food trucks, cafes, pubs and breweries, etc. from the previous month. Instead of undertaking the nearly impossible task of predicting which restaurants will actually open in the upcoming month, we decided this strategy would be more valuable for everyone involved. With bureaucrats, bankers and bean counters, unpredictable weather and contractors involved, it’s hard to say when a restaurant is opening until it is already, in fact open.
Disclaimer: We recommend you call ahead to be sure you’ll find an open restaurant upon your arrival. Good Luck! Drop us a line at [email protected] if we missed any April openings/closings.

This Clarence gastropub maybe have been serving their 100 cold beers a tad before April, but their official opening was April 2, so it counts. Believe us when we tell you, you need to know about this place. Similar to their Niagara Falls location, Griffon in the North Towns boasts tons of beer options – thats 100 beers on TAP people. We haven’t eaten there yet, but we’re so looking forward to Buffalo Chicken Deviled Eggs, Turkish Lamb Meatballs, Chicken & Waffle Sandwich, Duck Wings, we could go on and on and on.
There are no TVs involved in this 716 eatery, but there is good food, easy access and no waiting for tables. The (716) Food and Sport you’ve heard so much about has launched it’s own food truck, dubbed the “Club House”. Very fitting.
We’re not sure these guys are actually on the street, but we do know they’ve been at Larkin Square for Food Truck events in the past month, and therefore we’re declaring them open for biz. They’re serving up Grandma’s desserts on the streets of Buffalo “made with high-quality ingredients and love”. The truck’s menu includes brownies, cakes, cheesecake, cream pies and more sweet treats.
