There’s honestly nothing better than a pizza restaurant. You hit the town for a night out. You dress yourself up a little. You feel like a classy adult. And you get to do all this while having pizza for your meal. Now that, my friends, is the best of both worlds.

Buffalo’s food scene is exploding right now with new restaurants – many of which provide the quality service and Instagramable aesthetic you may be seeking in your night out, all while fueling your inner child who just wants a cheese pizza. Give us more water carafes, more votive candles due to dim lighting, and more fresh basil, please.

There’s a lot of great sit-down options in Buffalo that are doing pizza right, while also providing an astounding dining experience for all – this list is truly just the tip of the iceberg, one pizza bloggers opinion to be used as inspiration. So, step out of your sweats, step out of your Netflix black hole, and step out for pizza. You won’t regret it.

Pizza & love,

Here are awesome sit-down pizza restaurants to check out according to @buffalopizzablogger (in no particular order):

1. Hearth + Press

665 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14203

Hearth + Press’ urban flair suits its location in Buffalo’s theatre district. Right across from Shea’s Performing Arts Center, H+P is the perfect choice before a show. Their Stone Hearth oven is in sight while your pizza is being prepared, giving a nice, open ambiance to the space. Their Neapolitan pizza is thin-crust, delightfully fresh, and flavorful. If you’re a fan of pizzas with a hint of that smokey taste from the Stone Hearth oven, then this will hit all the marks for you.

2. D’Avolio’s

5409 Main St, Williamsville, NY 14221

This local olive oil and vinegar company uses their culinary talents to serve pizza as well. Located on Main St., D’Avolio’s downtown kitchen has a modern and elegant feel with its high-top tables and dark walls, making it a great lunch spot for professionals during the work week. To keep everything moving efficiently during the lunch hours, guests get to write on the menus and build your own pizza to your choosing – from crust, sauce, cheese, protein, and up to 3 toppings! The flexibility and freedom D’Avolio’s offers is especially appealing. You can certainly taste the oils used, which gives this pizza a uniqueness over their competition.

3. Hydraulic Hearth

716 Swan St, Buffalo, NY 14210

Whether it’s a night out with the kids, your pals, or your special someone, this Larkin District pizza restaurant is a great universal dining destination. Enjoy their extensive outdoor patio with a bar, dining, and even lawn games during Buffalo’s summer months. During the cooler months, choose from one of the many seating options indoors – whether it’s a booth, table, at the bar, or at the counter in front of the brick oven itself (Warning: You may need to look away if you’re overly hungry before your food arrives.). The pizza itself is your standard thin-crust, brick oven style that can’t go wrong for anyone really.

4. Giacobbi’s Cucina Citta

59 Allen St, Buffalo, NY 14202

If you prefer to pay for a meal at an establishment that’s all about the details, Giacobbi’s is your place. As Allentown’s new authentic Italian restaurant, their pizza will make you appreciate quality pizza just by its looks alone. Then once you taste it, you’ll never look back at the mediocre pizzas you’ve had previously. Their thin-style pizzas are packed with fresh Italian flavors and have a high-quality crust that can still hold its own. Aside from their authentic dishes, Giacobbi’s casual, homey environment makes you feel like you’re a member of the family too.
