Within the last few years, Hamburg has seen a major transformation with more and more businesses moving into the neighborhood. From bakeries and eateries to retail shops, Hamburg has quickly grown into a small town destination worthy of a weekend stroll around the village. If you are looking ahead to what else is to come, here’s 5 places joining in on the restaurant scene.

1. Fiesta Bamba

What we know so far: Currently with a location in Springville, Fiesta Bamba has recently announced they are bringing a second location to Hamburg. At the second restaurant, Fiesta Bamba is expected to offer a pretty similar menu to that of their Springville location which currently offers authentic Mexican cuisine and Tex-Mex dishes. Right now they are aiming for a November opening.

2. Foxglove Pub

20 S. Buffalo St Hamburg NY 14075 / More Info

What we know so far: Located in the Hamburg Village, the building which is set to house the Foxglove Pub has undergone extensive renovation including updating the exterior and pouring new concrete. An opening date is yet to be announced.

3. Black Smoke Bourbon Bar

50 Buffalo Street Hamburg NY 14075 / More Info

What we know so far: Opening this winter in the Hamburg Village is Black Smoke Bourbon Bar which will act as an expansion of First Line Brewing. The bar is expected to have a rustic yet modern concept with a courtyard, outdoor bar, gazebo, and fire pits as well as special Black Smoke blends of bourbon.

4. Perennial

6666 Gowanda State Rd Hamburg NY 14075 / More Info

What we know so far: Perennial will transform a former garden center into a restaurant under Chef Ross Warhol of Oliver’s Restaurant and Britesmith Brewing. Being a former garden center, many aspects of the menu at Perennial will be created from produce that is harvested on the premise of Perennial’s property. Warhol is looking to create several different food and drink concepts in the space ranging from barbecue to tapas. Current plans are in place for a 2023 opening.

5. Peg’s Place x Steelbound Brewery & Distillery

4045 Lake Shore Rd Hamburg NY 14075 / More Info

What we know so far: Peg’s Place is looking to expand their operation into the brewing world with a Steelbound Brewery & Distillery right next door to their current restaurant. An opening date is still to be determined.
