Downtown Buffalo is making a comeback, and businesses want to be a part of it. The rapidly changing weather around here is a completely legit excuse to spruce up your wardrobe and support local businesses while you’re at it. From the Buffalo Waterfront to the new-and-improved Theater District to artsy Allentown, there’s lots of local love to be shared. With that said, here are a few places we recommend checking out on your next shopping spree.

You may just recognize Chocolatier and founder of Whimsy Confections, Michele Ogden, from Food Network’s Cupcake Wars! She also doubles as an artist, and hand-paints each ganache filled Bonbon with a whimsical design. She’s got a sweet assortment of unique flavors to choose from, including coconut rum, Mexican hot chocolate, and matcha green tea. DIVINE. Not to mention, the the shop itself is absolutely adorable.

Located inside the Market Arcade Complex, this mens-only store features urban contemporary fashion and has brought brands to Buffalo from Los Angeles, Australia, and the UK. Trend Up has a European vibe from its snapbacks and fedoras to long tees. The store’s #1 selling brand, DOPE, has been seen on a handful of famous artists, athletes, and celebrities. Styles from Emperor Apparel and Civil Regime can also be found here.
