Have you heard? Due to Covid-19, we’ve temporarily changed our motto to “Stay In, Buffalo”. And for the foreseeable future we will be posting content that shares how our community can continue to support local businesses while adhering to guidelines set by the CDC.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s moving to see all the different ways local businesses and people have come up with to help the community. The collaborations, the efforts to kill two (or more) birds with one stone, and genuine desire to be good neighbors. We are excited every day to be able to showcase these uplifting stories during these less than uplifting times.
The emergency blood drive being held at Big Ditch Brewing is one of those stories.
On April 8th and May 12th from 12 – 6pm, Big Ditch will host a Connect Life Blood Drive at their Buffalo tap room to help serve the critical need for blood donations during the coronavirus outbreak.

“As we have a large and empty tap room available, we thought we’d help by providing a space for a blood drive via ConnectLife,” Big Ditch states in a recent Instagram post.
“In order to provide safe social distancing, all blood donations are accepted by appointment only (no more than every 15 minutes apart) via registration on Connect Life’s website.” The post also reminds the public that it is safe to donate blood and that photo id is required.
The coolest part? Every person who signs up to donate will get a Big Ditch pint glass and gift card redeemable for one pint of beer once the tap room reopens post COVID quarantine. A pint for a pint.
The blood drive will happen in the beer hall, separate from Big Ditch’s retail sales, which will also be open at this time.
