Getting healthy, nailing that promotion, sorting our your finances – they’re all respectable resolutions. But frankly, they’re boring af, which is why we here at Step Out Buffalo are challenging you to really step out of your comfort zone in 2017 with the Buffalo Bucket List Challenge. We know it can be difficult to constantly come up with new and exciting ways to enjoy your time here on planet earth, and more specifically Western New York, so we’re doing the work for you. Every Wednesday this year we’ll publish a new Buffalo Bucket List Challenge post with a fun / interesting / exciting / unique “task” to try.

Cave of the winds at Niagara Falls

333 Prospect St in Niagara Falls, NY  /  (716) 278-1796
niagarafallslive.com
Hours: Monday-Sunday 9am-7:30pm
Price: $14 for adults, $11 for children six to 12, and free for children 6 and under at all attractions in Niagara Falls State Park.
Details: Cave of the Winds is an exciting adventure in Niagara Falls that brings you closer than ever to the natural wonder we sometimes forget is in our own backyard.  Upon arrival, you will take an elevator 175 feet into the Niagara Gorge with nothing but a poncho and protective shoes to keep you sturdy (and hopefully dry) while exploring the pathways.  You’ll follow tour through wooden walkways where, at some moments, you’ll be just 20 feet from the falls.  Cave of the Winds truly allows you to see the falls in a completely new light.
Where to eat: Warm up with some fresh, cheesy slices at Mario’s Pizza in the Falls.  Go crazy with the toppings by opting for the Amalfi pizza pie with mozzarella cheese, kalamata olives, hot cherry peppers, and salty anchovies or the Desi with garlic, ginger, jalapeno peppers, red onion, coriander, and mozzarella cheese!  If you’re not feeling like venturing out, go for the plain cheese like Kevin McCallister, or the cheese and pep pizza.

We launched a new look!
