We know it can be difficult to constantly come up with new and exciting ways to enjoy your time here on planet earth, and more specifically Western New York, so we’re doing the work for you. Every Wednesday this year we’ll publish a new Buffalo Bucket List Challenge post with a fun / interesting / exciting / unique “task” to try.
Week 17: Lockport Cave Tour and Boat Ride

Price: $15 plus tax for adults, $10 plus tax for children (5-12), and $3 plus tax for children 4 and under.
Details: Did you know that the Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Rides Tour is one of America’s longest underground boat rides along the Erie Canal? They offer visitors a unique experience through a 70-minute tour. The tour will explain the history of America in regards to the Buffalo and Niagara area. You’ll go back in history together while taking in the view the Erie Canal locks, ruins from the industrial revolution, and so much more. You’ll feel like you’re in another world in these caves and get the opportunity to check out some century-old artifacts that were left behind by Erie Canal minors while you enjoy the boat ride.
Where to Eat: Indulge in some of the city’s most unique flavors at Lake Effect Ice Cream. Whether you choose the couch potato ice cream made with caramel, peanut butter, and chocolate covered potato chips or their award winning salty caramel ice cream made with caramel ice cream with a pinch of sea salt, you won’t be disappointed with any flavor!
