On Our Radar: Summer Tours & Pub Crawls

Silo City

Say you’re into history, love Buffalo, like to tour or are looking for something a little different to do some evening? Buffalo History Tours is the perfect way to get a small dose of learning with a big helping of fun… did we mention drinking is involved? Plus they have tons of different options to get your tour/pub crawl on.

Check out the Haunted Pub Crawl every Saturday at 9:00pm at Canalside. Hear the bone chilling stories of real ghost happenings around what was once one of America’s scariest waterfront neighborhoods. See and hear evidence that the dearly departed are here among us. Not recommended for scaredy cats.

Afraid of ghosts? Maybe try the Lawless Buffalo Pub Crawl on Fridays at 9:00pm at Canalside. This tour allows you to relive the lawless days of Buffalo when drunken sailors, prostitutes, criminals and thieves lived and died in a dangerous waterfront red light district known throughout the world as “The most Evil Square Mile in America”. Every Friday night this summer you are deputized to join Officer Connor O’Connor on his beat as he introduces you to the denizens of this “infected district”.

Into solving a 100-year-old plus murder? Check out Grain Mill Murder Mystery  Saturday at 6pm includes a buffet dinner at Riverworks and Murder Mystery at GLF Grain Silos. Based on real life events the story takes you back to 1899 to a horrible murder that maybe only you can solve. Dinner and performances are offered each Saturday evening this summer where you’ll question the suspects, gather clues, and solve the crime – yes – prizes go to the best detective team!

If you’re looking for something a bit more family oriented try out the Canalside Family Scavenger Hunt on Saturdays at 11am in Canalside or the Hotel Lafayette Tours.

Whatever your fancy, you’ll want to book your tour fast because space is limited!
