Raise your glass and say, sláinte! The luck of the Irish is coming to Buffalo this month.
Just like everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone’s also Irish for the Buffalo Irish Festival. Returning for the 36th year in a row, this year the festival is headed to The Outer Harbor. We’re talking three days of continuous Irish entertainment. Sign us up!
The Irish takeover begins Friday, August 25 with a kick-off parade featuring flags from the 32 counties in Ireland. Pro Tip: Don’t be fashionably late to this event because admission is FREE on Friday from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. sharp.

If you are all about traditional Irish music, folk music, and step and set-dancing, you’ll be all about this year’s festival. The lineup is packed with Celtic talent, so don’t miss out. Performers are coming from the U.S., Canada, and (pause for applause) freaking Ireland!!!
There are two stages, aka 2x the fun, so you can hop around as you please in-between beers. Let’s talk Guinness. There will be plenty of pints poured at the Harbor. Because what’s better than Guinness? Nothing, that’s the right answer.

Now, it’s not all about the drinks. It’s also about the food, because Buffalo. Traditional Irish foods will be plentiful at this festival, so prepare for a feast.
Irish gifts are the best kind of gifts. And guess what, you can find Irish goods and crafts by the bucketful at the Buffalo Irish Festival. Christmas shopping complete in August, anyone? But really, check out these 30 vendors.
There will also be Irish authors doing book signings. So, feel free to nerd out over your favorite wordsmith; we support you!
