Coffee lovers, we have some news for you: you’re officially in the right city.

Here in WNY we all know and love our local coffee shops. Those who love coffee know that it’s not just a drink, it’s an essential life elixir. And lucky for us, we’re surrounded by amazing places to get some of that sweet, sweet fuel.

A recent study ranked Buffalo among the top cities in the nation for coffee lovers to live, and we’re really excited about it. Apartment Guide’s in-depth analysis of coffee shops scoured lots of national data, including populations, coffee shops per capita, and coffee shops per square (city) miles. These ratios were then evenly weighted and considered to create an ultimate list of cities where coffee lovers can flourish.
Buffalo not only made the list but ranks 23rd out of 308 cities in the country! Our rankings are as follows:

  • Coffee Shops Per Capita (100k People): 34.3
  • Coffee Shops Per Square Mile: 2.2

With so many great spots to grab a coffee (or even an iced coffee), no matter where you find yourself in WNY you’ll always be able to grab a good coffee wherever you are – and now there’s data to prove it.
