Buffalo is known for many things…

…and beer and drinking are *definitely* two of those things (hellooooo tailgating #BillsMafia). In fact, we even have a Buffalo Beer Buzz column here at Step Out Buffalo that is dedicated to brining you the latest news in the beer community in WNY.

According to a new study, Buffalo is one of the best cities nationwide to be a beer drinker. We’re number 19 to be exact.

Smart Assest looked at the number of breweries total, breweries per 100,000 people, average number of beers per brewery, bars per 100,000 residents, and the average price for a pint of beer to determine the best cities for being a beer drinker.

After all that math, Buffalo received an index score of 86.45. Other NYS cities like Rochester and Syracuse ranked 17th and 28th on the list as well.

Grab a drink at your favorite Buffalo bar, and live up the beerflo that is Buffalo!
