It can be hard to find a work environment that you love. Often, those who grew up in Western New York, feel the need to leave Buffalo, for a bit, to explore other cities around the U.S. However, there truly is no place like home. Throughout your travels, you may realize that everything you need has been right in front of you the whole time!
In this 2016 Forbes article, Brooklyn, Buffalo, and New York City were apart of the top 20 happiest cities to work in. Out of all of the other states, New York was in a unique position because we had three cities make this list. Having more cities ranked than the other states “proves that folks will brave colder climates for happier company cultures and cities with interesting things to do during the weekends.”

To make the list, CareerBliss looks at an employee’s work-life balance, an employee’s relationship with his or her boss and co-workers, general work environment, compensation, opportunities for advancement, company culture, and resources. So I guess you could say that Buffalo is a pretty awesome place to work since we managed to place in the top 20.
Honestly, we’re not surprised that Buffalo received this recognition. Our city is home to a very passionate community, so it’s not shocking that we maintain that same passion and positive energy in our work environment.
