As if you didn’t already have enough reasons to order a pizza tonight, the Just Pizza & Wing Co. franchise in Amherst, NY, is going above and beyond to help local shelter dogs find their forever homes. According to this article from CNN, Just Pizza & Wing Co. is adding pictures of adorable adoptable pups attached to their pizzas to help raise awareness for pups that need to be adopted.
This genius idea sparked by Mary Alloy, one of the owners of the pizza franchise. Alloy began volunteering with the Niagara Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and soon after wanted to find a way to become more involved to help animals find a good home.

Alloy worked with an SPCA event coordinator, Kimberly LaRussa to create unique new ways to help more shelter animals find their forever homes. Thus, they came up with the idea to attach flyers of adoptable pups to their pizza boxes to raise awareness. I mean who doesn’t want to see an adorable puppy pic attached to their pizza?!
The best news yet, anyone who adopts a dog featured on the pizza box flyer will receive a $50 gift certificate to Just Pizza & Wing Co. As we’re sure you can imagine, customers are loving receiving these flyers and have helped pups like 6-month-old Larry, get adopted.
Just Pizza &Wing Co. has shown no signs of stopping, and in fact, they’d even like to evolve by adding pictures of adoptable cats on their boxes. The shop will continue these efforts until every animal finds a loving home. Looks like we just gave you the perfect excuse to order a pizza!
