WNY is feeling the love from all over. Buffalo has ranked 4th on DailyMail’s list of the 10 Most Popular Cities for Millennial Homebuyers with the help of LendingTree. As more people are looking to buy homes in more affordable cities, areas like Buffalo are seeing an influx of younger homebuyers.

“That’s good news for the real estate markets like Buffalo New York, where 46 percent of prospective buyers are Millennials.” – DailyMail.

LendingTree Researchers say Millennials are looking to buy in smaller markets away from the more expensive major cities like Los Angeles and New York.

The study says 46% of homebuyers in Buffalo are under 35, and the average age of Millennials buying a home is 28.5. According to LendingTree Chief Economist Tendayi Kapfidze, a big part of that trend is due to the affordability of smaller markets.

Shout out to our neighbor, Rochester, for also making the lists at number 9. It seems like the rest of the world is catching on to the fact that WNY is the place to be.
