Buffalo Supper Club: Shaking Up Black Rock

Update 10/23: Buffalo Supper Club is now open as of October 20, 2014.

Who says fancy dining has to be reserved for downtown Buffalo? Can’t we all have a classy and sophisticated place to call our own right where we live? That’s what the owners of a brand new restaurant and bar in the heart of Black Rock asked themselves when discussing the perfect place to start a business.

The owners of Buffalo Supper Club, located at 2179 Niagara Street, have been working tirelessly for the past eight months to perfect a modern and relaxing restaurant that local residents and Western New Yorkers from all over can sit back and enjoy. Kyle DeLuca, general manager, said that this particular section of Buffalo was missing a nice sit-down place to eat. With mostly pizza joints and fast food surrounding the area, Buffalo Supper Club sought to make a refreshing change.

“We wanted to stand out and when you walk in here, you won’t think that you’re in Black Rock. You will think that you are somewhere on Delaware or Elmwood,” said DeLuca

Since the restaurant is scheduled for a September opening (Update: Late October), residents that are looking for a casual night out without having to break the bank need not look any further. Buffalo Supper Club features a unique and tasteful menu with prices never exceeding $30 a plate. With meal choices such as lemon pepper chicken wings, Spanish meat pockets, chicken scampi, specialty ribs, and more, it sounds like this place isn’t fooling around.

“We aren’t just making lazy finger foods here,” said DeLuca. “We are putting together a nice presentation for you and your significant other or you and your friends.”

Almost in its completion, this sleek atmosphere consists of all black furniture, five televisions, a brand new jukebox, a soon-to-come lounge couch and an electric fireplace. The bar, which is also nothing to sneeze at, will feature a craft brew selection and most domestic and popular imports. A specialty drink menu will be provided prior to the opening.

But enough about the drinks; let’s get back to the real reason why you’re still reading this article. THE FOOD!!!

Buffalo Supper Club won’t be offering just any boring menu item. They’ve worked hard to shake things up for customers and make sure that they are not only served American cuisine, but also meals that have a little spice and everything nice.

Appetizers include: Chicken wings with flavors such as Chiavetta’s, lemon pepper, Cajun, garlic parmesan, jerk, and charbroiled; meatloaf sliders; French onion soup; pizza logs; fried mozzarella; loaded potato skins; deviled eggs; stuffed banana peppers; and mini pastellios (Spanish meat pockets).

Lunch & dinner items include: Steak such as ribeye, filet mignon, and filet medallions; herb salmon; chicken scampi; specialty ribs; fried chicken and more.

The business will also offer gourmet cupcakes for dessert.

DeLuca said he hopes Buffalo Supper Club will appeal to the 25 and older crowd that will want to sit down for a nice meal after a hard day at work. Doors will open at 11 a.m. for lunch and closing time will probably be when everyone is finished dining in the evening. The owners are extremely excited to present what their business has to offer and anticipate the community will appreciate their efforts of bringing a casual, yet classy, restaurant to the area.

“We are definitely here to stay,” said DeLuca.

So what do you think? Sounds pretty appealing, huh? I believe I’ll try the chicken scampi and have a cupcake for dessert! Only a little while left until their official opening this month, so be sure to stay tuned!
