In 1962, Walter and Grace Kelly couldn’t predict selling penny candy at local festivals would turn into the sprawling Kelly’s Country Store that sits on Grand Island Boulevard today.
When festival goers began asking the Kellys where their store was located, there was just one small problem—there wasn’t one. To meet their newfound fans’ wishes, Walter and Grace acquired the original store, which was only 20 x 20 feet, in trade for their Buffalo home and $1.
Today, the store is 4th generation Kelly family owned, selling unique gifts and homemade chocolates and a variety of candies. Stop in and take in the old-world charm our store has to offer.
