Visit the LARGEST Living History Museum in New York State! Just outside Rochester in Mumford, NY.

Genesee Country Village & Museum has something for all ages and interests with hands-on fun and live demonstrations. Explore the Historic Village as costumed interpreters bring history to life through storytelling in our 68 historic buildings. Tour the working brewery, see the blacksmith, the potter, the tinsmith and cooper at work and visit the animals on the farm. Take a piece of history home from the Flint Hill Store, featuring handcrafted fudge and village-made tin and pottery.

GCV&M is also home to the John L. Wehle Gallery, the Nature Center, and Silver Base Ball Park.

Regular season: Wednesday through Sunday from May 6 to September 3, closed the week after Labor Day, then open Thursday through Sunday until October 9. Weekend and special events all year long. Senior citizen, Veteran, student, and Museums for All discounts.

Special Events Include: Maple Sugar Festival, (March), Celtic Faire (June), Independence Day Celebration, A Novel Weekend (Aug), Fiddlers’ Fair (Aug), Hop Harvest Festival (Sept), Spirits of the Past Tours (Oct), Yuletide in the Country (Dec).
