K Art focuses on contemporary Native American artists and their work. K Art is Native American-owned, which gives it a unique perspective on, and sensitivity to, its artists and subject matter.
K Art’s physical gallery space will open at the end of 2020 to begin a cycle of four exhibitions a year. The first will be a survey of the work of nationally-recognized Native artists. The second exhibition will be a solo show featuring one of the artists from the survey. A small group show will follow, creating a dynamic dialogue between and among artists. The year’s schedule will end with a show of Native and non-Native artists to put Native art in a broader context.
K Art is owned by Dave Kimelberg, an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians (Bear clan). Brooke Lebouef is K Art’s Art Director.
