We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Erie Canal Flight of Five Locks. A non-for profit whose efforts have rehabilitated three of the five locks, renovated and updated the Erie Canal Museum at the foot of the locks, have commissioned local artist Susan Geissler to sculpt life-size figures of the 1897 Lock Tenders. The Lock Tenders Tribute, depicts the iconic images in a photograph taken by D B Clench.
100% of donations and tour receipts go directly to the initiative to:
- Preserve the Historical Heritage of Lockport’s Canal District
- Complete the Lock Tender Tribute
- Restore our entire Flight of Five Locks to the year 1842
