West Side Community Services fosters the stability, security, and well-being of our vibrant and dynamic community by engaging, connecting, and supporting its residents.
Services include:
Youth Programs – After-school program for children in kindergarten through grade six, evening teen program for older youth, a summer day camp, and a playroom for children up to age five and their caregivers
Senior Program – Recreation, socialization, health and wellness, and arts programs for older adults
Provisions 139 – Market-style food pantry located at 139 Vermont Street, Buffalo, that offers free shelf-stable foods, meats, dairy products, and fruits and vegetables to residents of zip codes 14201, 14213, and 14222
Prevention Programs – Thanks to funding from the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports, West Side Community Services is a Primary Prevention Service. We implement Evidence-Based Programs in substance use and violence education and prevention to youth in grades K-8, as well as Positive Alternative Programs at our community center on Vermont Street.
