Listen. We all like to ball. But sometimes, we need to ball on a budget. Like, yes I would love a glass of wine while I’m out at dinner but I would also not love to pay $10 for a 6oz pour when I have a whole bottle of wine that costs $11.99 at home. And that’s where BYOB restaurants come in. BYOB restaurants, also known as Bring Your Own Booze restaurants, also known as amazing, are the greatest thing since…booze.

Basically this is how they work: Grab your favorite bottle of wine (some places let you bring beer – call ahead and double check first) and put it in a bag. Go to a BYOB restaurant. Tell them you brought your own booze. They bring you glasses for the booze. You drink the booze. The end. Again, they’re pretty freakin’ great.

BYOB restaurants are a huge thing in lots of cities, and Buffalo is slowly coming around to the trend. Tbh we could use more BYOB restaurants ’round these parts *cough TAKE THE HINT, RESTAURANTS THIS WILL BRING YOU LOTS OF CUSTOMERS cough*, but we’ll take what we can get for now. Also can we give a huge shout out to the restaurants who are doing BYOB?! #thankyou #blessed

The reason BYOB restaurants are so popular is because 1) duh 2) it’s a great affordable option for people who want to check out different restaurants 3) it’s also great for big groups 4) sometimes restaurants don’t carry the brand/flavor ya like 6) maybe you just went to a really cool winery and want to enjoy your new purchase(s) 7) DUH. There’s honestly a zillion reasons we can list as to why BYOB restaurants are great ideas and the best things ever, but let’s get to what you came for shall we.
