We love local. You know that. And while we give into our sweet tooths maybe a bit too often, we do enjoy eating healthy too. So when we find a place like Welbeze Juice Bar and Eatery, we fall in love — and want to tell you all about it.

Owned by a father and son duo John and Ian Pasternack, Welbeze is a perfect stop for anyone looking for super fresh options using tons of local ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a place to hang out and play board games, grab a quick AND healthy grab-n-go meal, or a quiet space to get work done (they have free WIFI and plenty of outlets FTW), Welbeze is a great go to. They squeeze their juices fresh and offer ready to go options as well as a full menu of juices and blends, crepes, sandwiches, wraps, and salads.

Welbeze all started when UB graduate, John Pasternack, decided his desk job was no longer doing it for him (preach!) and it was time to start something new. Turning to his son Ian, then a sophomore in high school, the two decided to start up what was to be known as a Fresh Cafe (a franchise). This was back in 2010. Seven years later, Welbeze has had a few name changes and a whole lot of growth, but it hasn’t lost its sense of family and local pride.

Between 2014 and 2015, the father-son duo decided to leave behind the franchise life in order to stay true to their goals, and Fresh Cafe changed to Beary Good or B Good for short. Eventually, the local juice and eatery stop took on its current name: Welbeze Juice Bar and Eatery. Why are we telling you all this? Because if you take our advice and you do stop by, you’ll see a huge sign for B Good. But we promise it’s really Welbeze.

The name change allowed the Pasternack’s to redirect their attention to offering the most satisfying, freshly-made juices possible. Immune system feeling a bit weak as winter suddenly decides to step in? They’ve got you covered with locally grown, organic wheatgrass. Get a little too crazy at a Sunday Funday? Add some fresh ginger to your drink to cure that nausea. Struggling to get through a work-filled Monday? Check out their Jump Start, complete with beets, apples, orange, ginger, and other fresh produce.

If you need something with a bit more crunch to go with your juice, check out their variety of wraps, sandwiches, and salads. Plus, after you’ve eaten so healthy, you’ll hardly need any convincing to give in to the crepes that will be calling your name. Full of the most heavenly combinations of ingredients like Nutella, fresh strawberries, Ghirardelli chocolate, and peanut butter, these will quite literally melt in your mouth and leave you with absolutely zero regrets. For a full menu, click here or better yet, stop by one of their two locations in Depew (1402 French Road, Suite 300) and Williamsville (454 Evans Street) for the full experience.
