When doing anything other than homework feels like a guilt trip, you know it’s time to get studying. Every college student knows the best place to study is a cafe, under the caffeinated spell of coffee (or just a darn good panini) and who are we kidding, public scrutiny. These coffee shops around WNY offer the ideal atmosphere for jumping on that paper you’ve been procrastinating on thus far, or finally reviewing for your exam that’s in two days. Looking for a new place to put in some long hours?

1. Craft Coffee House

2. Kornerstone Cafe

Located in Larkinville and East Aurora, Kornerstone Cafe has a full juice bar to give you that extra burst of energy to power through your study sesh. On the menu you’ll also find breakfast, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and more.

This cafe, espresso bar, and small batch roastery is ideal for getting work done. Comfortably spacious characterized by high ceilings, white marble tables, black abstract paint accents, elegant plants, and chic couches, Public Espresso hosts a fabulous study space. The cafe’s menu presents a variety of delicious pastries, toasts, bowls, salads and sandwiches to pair with your scrumptious coffee!

This all-day coffee bar situated in Buffalo’s vibrant Five Points neighborhood offers a broad selection of coffee, food, and hard and soft beverages for “every mood, hour, budget, condition, affliction, affection, and need.” Whether you prefer to study in the morning or at night, this open-window cafe provides the quintessential atmosphere for total focus-mode.

This is a go-to location for a long, hard study sesh. Spot has plenty of study nooks, charging outlets, and all kinds of seating for any type of study (high-top chairs with a window view, couches for the loungers, and tables for those who like to lay out every one of their notebooks/papers/laptops/etc.). They also serve over-the-counter breakfast, lunch, and dinner in case you need a little extra fuel.
