If there’s one thing keeping people sane during Quarantine besides pets, it’s houseplants.

Speaking from experience, I’m thrilled I happened to, shall we say, over decorate with houseplants before the pandemic hit. The weather may be nice as of yesterday, but during those long cold days inside in the Q, I was happy to have my plants to keep me company. And freshen the air. And help fend off my depression.

In the past year there have been a few new plant stores (not nurseries, but actual stores) to open up, with plenty of room for more in WNY.

Next to be added to the short list is Put a Plant On It, opening in the Elmwood Village this summer. Their social media profiles explain that they will be selling quality plants – both common and hard to find, as well as plant themed gifts.

In a recent Facebook post, the shop also mentions classes(!!). Plus they’ll be offering fossil fuel free home delivery in their 100% electric Chevy Bolt along with curbside pickup.

A plant themed gift shop on Elmwood – we love to see it.
