Lakewood’s Southern Tier Brewing Company, who have taprooms in Charlotte, Pittsburgh and Cleveland, will convert (716) Food and Sport in Canalside into its newest taproom location.

Southern Tier plans to make updates to the space, located inside the Harborcenter at 7 Scott St, Buffalo, to allow for onsite brewing, a retail area for merchandise, and “to go” sales. The new taproom will have a beer-inspired food menu, and pour a full line of Southern Tier beers, ciders, seltzers and spirits.

The project is set to open in late summer 2021 – check out their announcement yesterday on Facebook.

“Don’t worry, we plan on keeping much of what has made (716) special and will continue to be a premier place for Buffalo sports fans to come and support their teams! We’ve always viewed Buffalo as home and cannot wait to share a one-of-a-kind craft beer experience with our friends and fans. WE CAN’T WAIT, BUFFALO! “
