Holidays can be stressful, especially for families with significant needs. You can help relieve some of the pressure by sharing with families who do not have the same opportunities available to them during the pandemic. Through our Adopt-a-Family Program, you can help children and families in our Foster Care and Adoption Program, Community-Based Counseling Programs, Residential Treatment Program, or at the Stanley G. Falk School. There are four options to give.

  • Family matches: Supporters will receive a personalized wish list for a family who will significantly benefit from your generosity. We ask that you purchase at least one new gift from the wish list per family member. To maintain social distancing during gift drop-off, a drop-off date and time will be assigned to bring new, unwrapped items. Registration will begin in early October. Matches will be made through mid-November.
  • Gift Cards: Gift cards are especially helpful as they provide many options for families.  Please register to set up an appointment to drop them off at the Adopt-a-Family Workshop.
  • Gift Drive: You can give gifts from our list of commonly needed items. It will be provided after registration. Registration is needed to be assigned a drop-off time on or before December 2, 2021. Gifts can only be accepted by appointment. We also have gift options available through our Amazon wish list. You can purchase from the comfort of your own home online and have it sent to Child & Family Services to be given to a family.
  • Monetary contributions provide the most flexibility. Checks can be made out to Child & Family Services with Adopt-a-Family in the memo line. Mail to Child & Family Services Attn: Adopt-a-Family Program 844 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14209. Or, click here to donate online.
