Women working and studying in WNY’s craft beverage industry will come together to brew a new IPA at Rusty Nickel Brewing Co. in West Seneca, NY. Coinciding with the celebration of International Women’s Day, March 8th
, Pink Boots Society members around the world will connect with breweries to raise money for the organization.
The Pink Boots Society is a global organization with a mission to assist, inspire, and encourage
women beer and craft beverage professionals through education. The organization offers members industry support and scholarships for continued education. To fund these opportunities, Pink Boots Society teams up with Yakima Chief Hops to create an exclusive hop blend for the use in the Collaboration Brew Day. While each chapter will write and brew their own recipe, this common hop will be found in every batch. Other area breweries, with or without PBS members, can choose to participate by purchasing this hop blend from YCH and designating their donation to their local chapter. Information about the release of this beer will be announced this month.
