If you’re having trouble figuring out what to do for your next celebration, don’t worry, we got you! Here are some great COVID-19 safe activities around WNY; just remember to do so safely, and follow all guidelines and safety precautions that are set by our local businesses!
1. Snack on a Custom Cheese & Charcuterie Board Thanks to Board in Buffalo
Ok, as a community, can we please normalize charcuterie boards as a meal? I mean, who doesn’t love a great cheeseboard? If you’re looking to celebrate your event with a totally dreamy and Insta worthy charcuterie board, then you need to check out Board in Buffalo. They have customizable cheese boards that serve anywhere from 3 to 20+ people.

2. Throw Some Axes at Hatchets and Hops
Hatchet and Hops have worked so hard to give the 716 what they want during these unprecedented times. Currently, their Blackrock location is open for guests to come in and throw some axes, and drink a few beers, in a safe and clean environment.
If you have a group of 2-6 people, you’ll be able to book a 1-hour throwing session for $25 per person. Groups of 6+ will be able to book a 2-hour throwing session at $40 per person. Currently, Hatchets and Hops is open for throwing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5 pm-11:30 pm.

3. Enjoy A Private Dinner by Camille Le Caer
Are you missing delicious crepes, magnificent macarons, and Chef Camille Le Caer? As many of you know, our favorite French cafe, Pastry by Camille, closed its doors recently. However, we’re here to share excellent news! Now, Chef Camille Le Caer is working as a private Chef and he will bring his delicious dishes straight to you!
Formally trained in French, Italian, and Turkish cuisine, Camille can offer a wide selection of sweet and savory items. He’s available for catering small parties and teaching Masterclass events in his kitchen right on Chandler Street or even in your home. Plus, let’s not forget that he conquered “Guy’s Grocery Games” on the Food Network!
4. Social Distancing Retreat and Wine Tour at The Cabins at Becker Farms
If you haven’t had the opportunity to stay at the cabins at Becker Farms, now is your chance! Now open through the Fall of 2020, Becker Farms has ten eco-friendly cabins nestled between the vineyard and orchards. Once guests have made a reservation, a host will be in contact to help create a customized itinerary made just for you! Treat yo’ self for the weekend by sipping on some of the best wines you’ll ever taste, and cozying up in your sweats by the campfire.

5. Celebrate with a view at Patrick’s Rooftop
If you’re looking for a place to sip on some boozy handcrafted cocktails while taking in a breathtaking view of our city, believe us when we say that this is the spot! Patrick’s is Buffalo’s highest rooftop bar and it is guaranteed to make you feel like you’re parting in New York City.
If you’re planning a bachelor/bachelorette or birthday party, we suggest booking a bottle service table reservation so you can enjoy late-night cocktails, music, and dancing. At each table, you can have 6-10 guests, so it’s great for small intimate parties!

6. Pedal Around the City with Buffalo Pedal Tours
Hands-down pedal tours are one of the best activities to do in Buffalo. If you haven’t done one yet, you absolutely need to, and now’s your chance. Right now, Buffalo Pedal Tours completes private trips that are ideal for groups of friends, families, or even your coworkers!
All tours are BYOB and include a cooler with ice, Bluetooth speaker, and an incredible guide to show you around the city. Pedal through Downtown, Canalside, or take an architectural or history tour! 7. Plan a Weekend Getaway to Ellicottville
If you’re craving the need to travel, Ellicottville is just a short drive away and will make you feel like you’re escaping the 716. Book a nearby Air BnB or one of Holiday Valley’s lodging properties for a cozy weekend getaway. You and your friends can pick up some growlers at Ellicottville Brewing Company and Steelbound Brewing on the way to your lodge. Then you can create your own beer tasting while you enjoy the amazing views of the Holiday Valley Slopes.
During the day you can also head to the village and check out some of the local shops. Or, you can stick around Holiday Valley and embrace your adventurous side and participate in the Sky High Adventure Park, take a chairlift ride, or ride the mountain coaster! Whether you prefer to drink, explore, or shop, you’ll have a pretty eventful weekend in Ellicottville.
8. Go Camping at Firelight Camps
So this is a little outside of WNY but, it’s definitely worth the trip. Although camping may not be for everyone, we’re totally convinced that these luxury tents will make you feel otherwise.
