New: Deep South Taco Opens Third Location on Transit

Northtowners just got another legit taco option with the opening of Deep South Taco at 6727 Transit, not too far from Main by Regal Cinemas. The former Quaker Steak & Lube building is now home to one of WNY’s most well-known Mexican restaurants. While QS is a weird PA chain restaurant, you have to admit the buildings are kind of cool, perfect for a Deep South taco stop.

Deep South already has locations on Ellicott Street downtown, and Hertel Ave in North Buffalo. As a rule they offer a legit cocktail menu with plenty of Tequila options, a nice beer list, and an award-winning Bloody Mary (shoutout to the 2017 Buffalo Bloody Mary Fest where DST took home first place for Best Garnish and Most Creative Bloody Mary). Plus, tons of fun menu items unlike options you’ll find elsewhere in Buffalo.

To add to the excitement, this location will be brewing their own beer. In collaboration with 42 North Brewing they’ll be offering a lager called Luchabrew, a Mexican stout and some rotating Mexican seasonal beers. The Mexican stout is a personal favorite and I assure you well worth the stop.

They’re open Sun – Thurs 3 – 10pm, Fri and Sat 3-midnight – perfect for your late night cravings.
